Women's Conference 2010

On Thursday and Friday I attended BYU Women's Conference with Levi's mom. Last year was my first ever going but it was during Weber State graduation and my brother was getting his Bachelor's Degree so I went for just a couple classes. This year I did the whole nine yards!!
For the most part I really enjoyed it! I loved Sister Beck's talk and the BYU professor Renata Forste. It just really made me think that I am a Women, someday a Mother, and that I can have so much influence on those around me. I listened to other talks about the importance of prayer, endurance, and the importance of Motherhood. I also did alot of projects for the Primary Children's Hospital and the Humanitarian Aid. I crocheted a pair of mittens, I crocheted the edge on a super cute birp cloth, I made 15 crocheted pink ribbons for cancer patients and also made a super super cute tutu for a little girl @ the Hospital....so even though she may be really sick...she can feel like a princess!
I also attended the concert Thursday night......(of course after eating a super delicious dinner @ the Spaghetti Factory @ the University Mall). It was hosted by Hillary Weeks....she kept talking about how much we should love our washing machines. It was definitely unique but she was a good hostess and made me laugh. She preformed along with Michael Mclean, Mercy River, another guy who reminded me a lot of Josh Groban but I can't remember his name and Alex Boye. I would have to say Hillary and Alex were my favs. The definitely put on a show!!
After two full days of classes and walking all over BYU campus...I was SOOOOO tired!! The final conference talk was by Elder Oaks and his wife and as much as I was excited to hear them speak....I pretty much slept through it all. Oops!! I'm already excited for next year!!
