Lately I've notice that my stomach is getting in the way of everything I try and do. These last few days it has become more prevalent so last night ...while cleaning my house...I started coming up with a list in my head of all the things I am getting too big to do.....
1. Paint my toe nails.....I enlisted Levi's help with this on Sunday and at first he flat out said no...but when he saw how much I was struggling he decided to try and help. Poor guy has had no experience in painting nails so unfortunately this didn't go as smooth as I hoped....but hey, he tried.
2. Tying or buckling my shoes. Thank heavens for flip flops!!
3. Washing dishes. My stomach keeps bumping into the counter and I have to keep stepping back...but when I step back my arms don't reach .....it's pretty frustrating. (for some crazy reason I'm anti-dishwasher)
4. Cleaning the bathtub....I discovered this last night....it was a little awkward.
5. Carrying the laundry basket up the stairs. That is a serious work out now.
6. Honestly....just carrying myself up the stairs is getting harder.....sometimes when I reach the top my heart is beating to death and I'm out of breath!
7. Sitting at my desk at work typing....I'm constantly pushing my chair back so my stomach doesn't hit the desk all the time.
8. Getting in and out of bed! This is getting really hard. My bed is a big captains bed....it measures a solid 33 inches plus off the ground....so great for me to fold laundry on...but jumping on and hoping off is getting really really hard! Levi keeps telling me he is going to get me a footstool or something :)
9. Bending over for absolutely anything....if it's on the floor...chances are it's just gonna stay there. Or I gotta stop and think about it...take a deep breath...and dive for it.
10. Ironing clothes....I swear I'm gonna just knock the ironing board over one day and burn something with the iron.
11. Pushing the grocery cart past me once I placed everything on the conveyor belt and I'm getting ready to pay. (I have to step into the cash registers' spot behind me and then push the cart past me!) Does that even make sense?
12. Finally, when we are driving somewhere and Levi lets me in the car...I always will just lean over and unlock his door before he gets there, but now that is just a little too difficult for me.
Well there are 12 ....I'm sure as time moves on I will come across more. Logic has it that I'm gonna get bigger and more and more uncomfortable....this little dude still has a good 6-7 lbs to put on and probably another 8-10 inches to grow...and I honestly have no idea how that is going to work!!
So funny - I had forgotten about having to slide the grocery cart past in the check-out stand. I hate to clean the bathtub (my least favorite chore), so when I was too big, I just said forget it, it can stay dirty until my mom takes pity on me and cleans it for me while she's visiting sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteoh the belly.
ReplyDeletemy problem was the butt too...seemed to grow with the belly.
good luck with flip flops this winter :)
I think you look adorable-
You're so funny Cynthia. Ah the joys of being pregnant!
ReplyDeleteGood thing those little babes are worth it =)
You're too cute! I remember the days of Jared opening the door for me and leaning over to unlock his...kind of goes out the window 3 kids later. He still does it when it's just the 2 of us, but that's a very rare occurrence. =)
ReplyDeleteThis is the best reason I've heard of yet to use your dishwasher. !!! And ditto about the tub. I remember how miserable that was too.
