The Weekend

Dear April,
Thank you for saving me from my very scary and emotional bug predicament! I seriously would have stood there for the next few hours crying waiting for Levi to get home....too afraid to let that thing out of my sight and too afraid to move in case it jumped on me and starting biting my face off! I have never hated bugs so bad until that giant bug starting hissing at me! Man...that was a nasty bug! Thank You!!

Well in other news.....my 24th of July didn't go quite like I had planned. We were hoping (well at least I was hoping) that Levi would get home from work soon enough that we would be able to go camping with his family up by Jackson Hole. We went with them last year and I actually enjoyed it, so I was excited to go again. (and this was pretty much my only shot at a summer vacation) Levi thought that he would get home sometime late Thursday and we would head out Friday morning and be back Sunday. That would be plenty of camping and it would be nice to just get away.
Well! Out of all weeks in the world....Levi gets to work on Monday and finds out they are sending him to Canada. Now we all know ....Canada is more then just a hop, skip and a jump away....and the fact that Levi has never been there and it's another country makes it a little more complicated. Levi headed off though and thought at worst he will get home sometime Friday and we could still head up Friday night. Well time went on and Levi got through Canada....figured out customs at the border and he figured he was going to get back home in time. Levi called me once from Canada and told me he would call me once he got back in Montana and let me know how his trip was going and when he thought he would be home. HA!! Thanks to stinkin' T-Mobile though.....once Levi got across the border......we couldn't get a hold of each other. Call me a paranoid wife...but I was starting to get worried....he called me on Thursday morning...said he would be home some time Friday afternoon.....Friday afternoon comes and I haven't heard a word from him. Grr!! Well I figured no news is good news so I waited. ( I called T-Mobile and got mad at them and am switching my carrier in a few short weeks!! Once you get up to Idaho and Montana, their service goes way down.) Levi finally called me later on Friday...he found a hot spot up in Montana....let me know his job had him run some other loads up in Montana and so he probably wouldn't be home until late Saturday afternoon. At that point I figured...Levi is going to be worn out and there is just no point in trying to go camping anymore. I was put out :( I called Levi's brother and let him know we wouldn't be coming up.
I went to bed Friday night kinda grumpy but whatever, at least I got to sleep in my nice warm bed! Wow...and did I sleep!! I slept for a good 11 hours!! Holy cow I haven't slept that good since I don't know when. I felt soooo good on Saturday. (except for that stupid bug!!) I seriously didn't feel like I was carrying a baby bowling ball in my stomach and I wasn't tired and unmotivated all day. I didn't feel pregnant!! ( I guess that shouldn't be a good thing...but DANG I loved it!) I got so much accomplished that day. I got all my shopping done, all the laundry done, all of Levi's food and laundry cleaned up and put away. I remade the bed, vacuumed the floors, mopped, did all the dishes, cleaned my cupboards...all with time to spare! Wow!! It was like I was back to being me again!! Then Levi wanted to take me out (his boss told him that since he is gone so much that he has to take me out on date every week!! What a good boss!!) Well I had a coupon to Rumbi's and so we went there...and I loved my rice bowl.... and then we splurged and went to see a movie. Sad thing....we went and saw Despicable Me.....so not a fan of that show. I was pretty bored and ready for it be over. Oh well. I got to spend time with Levi and that is what matters!
I went to bed that night....I woke up around 7:30AM or so (bathroom break) and figured my Relief Society meeting isn't till 10AM so I can go back to bed for a little bit. Next thing I know...Levi comes running in (he's an early bird) and gets me up and what do you know...it's a quarter to 10! I'm like there is no way I'm getting ready in time and to church in 15 minutes...plus I remember I told the presidency I wouldn't be there cuz I was supposed to be camping. Well I figured ...what the heck...I'll take my time getting ready and just get to church later. Well I wandered around in my PJ's got some breakfast...washed my face...brushed my teeth and I was still kinda tired....so I laid down on the couch and then all of sudden I wake up cuz I'm cold, thinking it's been maybe a 1/2 hour or something... look @ the clock and oops....it was 2:15....I slept straight through church! So much for Sunday! Unfortunately that was just too much sleep for one day and I was just dragging the whole rest of the day.
Well despite not everything going the way I planned ...it wasn't such a back weekend after all. Levi, Blake (Levi's brother), and I set a date for our trip to VEGAS!!! For the last couple of months I have been begging Levi to take me to Vegas. I'm not a home-body ...but I'm not much of a traveler...but lately I've had this crazed desire to go somewhere.....( I think it cuz I'm so tired of going home to the same old empty boring house). I figured...why not Vegas. It's close, cheap (Levi's grandma lives in Mesquite) , and can be done in a weekend. Levi wasn't a fan at first...but I think broke down for my sake. Now I just gotta hope and pray that Levi can get off work in time so we can actually go!!

  1. I really enjoy the second trimester - when you don't feel pregnant. So much energy and so much less sickness. I'm glad you're feeling better.

April told me about the june bug. I admit I had to laugh. They are big, and they do hiss, but they're harmless.

Yay for Vegas! When are you going?

  2. You are welcome my dear Cynthia- that was super entertaining to see you freak out...I am glad I could help- the earwig threw me off though- wasn't expecting that!

Congrats on the BOY!!!!! Oh I am so happy for Levi. Let's just not hope he's not into ballet or anything.

  3. Dont worry April, my kid wont be into that stuff. One of the first things he is going to hold is a fishing pole. I wont let my kid do ballet. Most of those guys in ballet swing way too far on the wrong side of the fence. If you know what I mean.
